First, as a foreign investor, you require a tax identification number in Chile. This is called the Unique Tax Roll (RUT). This document is an indispensable requirement, as without this code, it is impossible to create a company, sign agreements, or perform any commercial operation in Chile.

The application for this document is made before the Internal Revenue Service (SII) of Chile. If you wish to do it from China, it is necessary to designate a legal representative in Chilean territory to act on your behalf. This is formalized through a Power of Attorney (POA) or mandate, which can be granted in three different ways:
1) 直接在智利公證處辦理：

Being in Chile, you must sign a notarized power of attorney in favor of your legal representative, who will manage the investor RUT. It is recommended that this document be issued in a notary that uses an 高級電子簽名.

2) 由中國出具並加註認證的授權書：
To create your company in Chile remotely, without having to travel, you must obtain the Foreign Investor RUT. The procedure consists of signing a power of attorney before a notary in China, attaching your identity documents, and then legalizing it through the apostille.
重要的是，如果文件為西班牙語以外的語言，必須翻譯成西班牙語。
Chile does not have the figure of «official translators.» Therefore, this translation must be managed through the MINREL (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) or through a simple sworn declaration. The translation presented must be faithful and integral regarding the content of the original document.

This is the most modern option and the one we recommend given its great speed. Using the government platform of the Registry of Companies and Societies, the creation of the company can be achieved via the internet.
